Pyrography (Wood Burning)

Pyrography is the art of decorating wood or other materials by burning

designs with a heated tool. The term, from Greek roots meaning

“pyrography)," is also known as pokerwork or wood burning.

Materials like leather, gourds, and canvas can also

be used, and can be done with

relatively inexpensive tools.
