When I was a little boy, I used to tell my mom that I wanted to grow up to be a hobo. She'd just smile and say, "You'll change your mind once you discover girls." Turns out, she was right.
These days I'm a family man with a couple of kids and a regular job. Every now and then I even have to wear a necktie. But I've never completely outgrown my fascination with the hobo lifestyle.
I've made several trips to Britt, Iowa, for the famous National Hobo Convention, and every year I make sure to get my picture taken with the Hobo King. It's become one of my favorite traditions.
Not long ago I started drawing and painting with acrylics and paint pens. Sharing something you've created can feel a little intimidating, especially when you're just getting started. So instead of signing my work as Robert, Iintroduced the world to Hobo Bob. He's a little more adventurous than I am... and he's not afraid to show off his artwork.
