Martha Winenger - Painted Rocks

Martha Says: 

I am a self-taught artist and I’ve been painting most of my life.  

I am a nature lover and most of my paintings are nature related.

 I paint in a realistic style with a lot of detail. I started painting

on rocks many years ago.  My favorite place to  find rocks

is in the upper peninsula of Michigan on the shores of

Lake Superior, where the waves have tumbled them

smooth.  I paint the rocks with acrylic paint and

varnish them, and the wood bases, for protection.

I also do canvases and wood slice paintings in oil paint.
