Sandy Erickson Wright

I was born in Michigan with a paint brush in my hand and the

two of us have never since been separated. I have been

influenced by exposure to diverse folk art everywhere I have

lived - Berlin, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Roswell, etc.

Cows are my favorite subject as they are central to my family's

history. My grandmother emigrated from Finland and survived

the Great Depression, as a widow with six children, thanks to

her cows and her faith in God.
